Intuit is having a few issues with their credit card processing. I found this note that will work while they sort the matter out.
“10/20/2010 at 10:45AM PDT Some of our credit card processing services are still unavailable. We’ve identified the issue as a problem with accessing our storage and have made progress in our effort to restore service. We are still unable to commit to an anticipated restoration time but will provide another update at 11:15 a.m. Pacific Time. In the meantime, we do have a workaround for most customers that will allow them to process credit cards via voice authorization. To do this, call the appropriate voice authorization center:
- Visa/MC/Disc ACQ/Amex one point: 800-228-1122
- American Express: 800-528-2121
- Discover: 800-347-1111
Important: You need the authorization code from the voice authorization and your customer’s card number and expiration date to complete the transaction. If you are still having trouble, please contact support at 800-558-9558.”
