Warehouse Management to be discontinued on January 1st via Intuit

If you are considering to use the Warehouse Management tool currently provided as at an extra charge from Intuit, you may want to read the following statement from Intuit. Although it looks like Intuit is abandoning the warehouse idea, in fact, they have added warehouse functionality in the new release of Enterprise Solutions 11.0 that will do essentially similar functions. After the new release on October 27th, we will be able to provide more information.

We wanted to notify you of some upcoming changes to Warehouse Management ES:

• Beginning January 1, 2011, Intuit will no longer be supporting Warehouse Management.
• To help prepare for this transition, as of September 27, Intuit will no longer be selling Warehouse Management.
• Customers who wish to continue using the service after January 1, 2011 must purchase a subscription directly from AccuCode Inc.
• AccuCode will be launching a new Warehouse Management partner program for 2011. For more information about this program, please contact Kevin Reynolds at  866-705-9879 x126.

What does this mean for me?
AccuCode is the developer of the Warehouse Management service and currently hosts the product while Intuit markets and sells the product, manages the billing and provides technical support.

As of September 27, Intuit and the Solution Provider channel will no longer be selling Warehouse Management. If ISPs would like to maintain a reselling relationship with AccuCode after September 27 you can contact Kevin Reynolds at 866-705-9879 x126. Please note that effective December 31, 2010, ISP residual payments for WMES customers will be discontinued.

As of January 1, 2011, Intuit will no longer be supporting Warehouse Management. At that time you and your customers will benefit from a consistent experience with one service provider as AccuCode will continue to host and maintain the application, while also managing the billing and providing customer support.

The Intuit offer for one free user of Warehouse Management ES for customers who have an active Full Service Plan will no longer be available starting January 1, 2011. To minimize the impact to your business, we are providing 90 days notice in advance of this change.

Why the change/why now?
As most of you know, for some time QuickBooks customers have made their needs known; requesting better options for managing their multi-warehouse inventory needs. It is in large part due to your continual feedbackthat we have an exciting new Advanced Inventory option coming for Enterprise customers in V. 11. Advanced Inventory will make it possible for customers to know the value and quantity of inventory in multiple locations, and transfer inventory from one location to another from within QuickBooks Enterprise. Advanced Inventory is an annual subscription which can be purchased for $699.

What do I need to do?
You do not need to do anything at this time. Subscriptions to Warehouse Management ES will continue to work just as they have in the past. Intuit will continue to manage the billing and provide your customer support through December 31st. You can reach the Intuit support team by calling  866-340-7237.

Over the next 90 days we will provide you with additional information about these changes, including how refunds will be issued for Warehouse Management pre-paid service plans at the time of the transition and the steps to follow if you wish to continue using Warehouse Management after January 1, 2011.

If you have additional questions about this change, please contact your CSM.
